Setup Check - Checking your Radio Connection.
Check the Radio Connection.
We supply 2 types of modems - look for the label on your cable modem and then check the status of the LEDs as below.
- Arris Modem
Your Online LED should be solid Green - if the ONLINE LED is flashing it may indicate that you are not receiving a radio connection. In most cases this is because one of the power units supplied with your system has been unplugged or has become loose in the socket. Check that BOTH power supplies required for your permaNET service are correctly inserted and check that all connections are secure.
On some models of Arris modems there is a white standby button at the top of the modem. If this button is pressed it blocks all data traffic and the ONLINE LED will flash very fast. This is a security feature. To enable data traffic again press the standby button once more and see that the ONLINE LED goes to solid green.
You may need to reboot any connected equipment once your modem is back online.

- COM21 Modem.
Your RF LED should be Green - if the RF LED is flashing Amber or Amber Green it may indicate that you are not receiving a radio connection. In most cases this is because one of the power units supplied with your system has been unplugged or has become loose in the socket. Check that BOTH power supplies required for your permaNET service are correctly inserted and check that all connections are secure.
