End of Service Announcement

Unfortunately, after 15 years in operation, permaNET is announcing that we are discontinuing all broadband internet and phone services. These services will cease in Kerry from 4-Aug-2020 and in other areas from 1-Sep-2020. Due to reduced customer numbers, increasing costs and external factors beyond our control it is not possible to continue in operation.

The team at permaNET will be working until the end of August to assist customers to find an alternative service provider. We will be providing individual advice to customers via the customer portal My permaNET. We would kindly ask all customers to use My permaNET rather than call us, to ensure you get the best advice regarding alternative options. All customers will receive a letter or email from permaNET in the coming days with specific recommendations based on location.

Our dedicated End of Service Team is well placed to assist you with advice and help you to access My permaNET on 021-2121511, from 9am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday.

For customers in Kerry and Cork, who are connected to permaNET sites at Slieve Mish, Knockanore and Clara mountains, an alternative High Speed Wireless service is available, provided by Ivertec Broadband. You can call Ivertec on 021-2340702.

For customers who are connected to permaNET sites at White Mountain Co. Wexford, Ballingarry Co. Limerick and Johnswell Co. Kilkenny, an alternative High Speed Wireless service is available, provided by Ripplecom.

Many customers in these areas already have High Speed Wireless equipment that was installed at your home in the past six months to enable you to switch. If so you have the option to simply transfer your account to Ivertec or Ripplecom.

Alternative service options are available for customers connected to permaNET sites in other areas.

Due to anticipated high volumes of calls, we regret that it may take some time to return calls regarding future service options, however, every customer can view any information regarding your service, including outstanding balance, when final payments will be due and alternative service options from Ivertec, Ripplecom and others by using My permaNET.

permaNET is acutely aware at of how difficult it is to get a high-speed Internet connection for many people in rural Ireland. We regret that we can no longer be part of the solution.
